CHAIRMAN'S ADVISORY COUNCIL

Network Creative Group is continually formalizing relationships with individuals who will function as Industry Advisors from the cable/DBS television industry, artist community, general business professionals and the various entertainment industries. Current Industry Advisors include:

Ross K. Bagwell, Sr.
Ross has a long history in the television industry, from his days at CBS with The Howdy Doody Show to the Today Show for NBC. In the early 1990’s Ross owned Bagwell Communications/Cinetel Productions and built it into the largest independent cable network program production company in the United States before selling it to Scripps Howard Broadcasting in 1994 as the new home for Home and Garden Television. Mr. Bagwell has also served on several charitable boards and advisory committees.

Jim Bohannon
Jim is the host of two national radio shows, The Jim Bohannon Show and America in the Morning, syndicated on nearly 500 radio stations coast to coast for Westwood One. Raised in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, Jim is also a renowned keynote speaker and author and is a recent inductee into the Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago.

Buddy Cannon, Industry Advisor
Award winning producer and songwriter, Mr. Cannon is the recipient of gold album awards, platinum awards, triple platinum awards and quadruple platinum awards for his work with such mega-stars as Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, John Michael Montgomery, Sara Evans and Chely Wright. He has also helped launch the careers of Shania Twain, Sammy Kershaw and Billy Ray Cyrus, and penned hit songs that are staples for everyone from Vern Gosdin, Mel Tillis, Alabama and George Strait.


John Draper

John spent more than 25 years as Senior Vice President and General Counsel with TCI and Liberty Media as TCI became the largest cable television Multiple System Operator in the country. More recently John and his wife Anne have been operating Bear Mountain Ranch near Steamboat Springs, CO.

Paul Maxwell
Paul is one of the most plugged-in people in the cable business. He has reported on the industry since 1969. In addition to founding CableFax Daily, he launched MultiChannel News, CableVision, SkyReport and a number of cable related things he likes to call "eleemosynary activities". Paul’s MaxFax column each Monday in CableFax Daily is considered a must-read by industry executives. Among his many honors, Paul received a Vanguard Award from the NCTA in 2000 and was named to the Cable Pioneers Board of Directors in 2001.

Daniel K Miller, Industry Advisor
A musician, actor, award winning host and television producer, Mr. Miller is use to working both sides of the camera at his production company, First Light Television. Mr. Miller is currently the producer of BlueHighways TV’s series, Due West, a western lifestyle series that will also be the network’s first High Definition feature. While at TNN (The Nashville Network) Mr. Miller hosted American Magazine, the CableAce Award winning game show Top Card and the longest running series on TNN, Championship Rodeo.


Bobby Roberts
Bobby is the owner and founder of Bobby Roberts Company. BRC is an independent booking agency that represents more than 30 major music professionals such as legends: Merle Haggard, BJ Thomas, Pam Tillis, Mark Farner (founder of Ground Funk Railroad). BRC is the leading independent agency that successfully competes with such giants as William Morris and Monterey.

Lee C. Roper, Industry Advisor
Ms. Roper, President of Clayton Ventures, Inc., has been an influential member of the cable television industry, both nationally and internationally, for 21 years. Frequently sought as a speaker at national and regional industry conferences, Ms. Roper was the 2004 Women in Cable Television Walk of Fame inductee and was listed in Multichannel News as the a 2004 Wonder Women "Woman to Watch".

Barney Schotters
Barney is the co-founder and CRO of Symphony Media Systems, and R&D effort targeted at bringing new broadband distribution to MDU and Hotel markets worldwide. For fifteen years Barney was a member of the senior management team of Telecommunications, Inc. also serving as CFO of TCI Ventures Group, which was responsible for capital market activity and funding worldwide, Investor/Shareholder Relations, Treasury Operations, foreign exchange and debt management of $15 billion debt portfolio.

Davida M. Shear, Industry Advisor
Ms. Shear has over 20 years experience in the cable television industry, beginning her career in cable as a financial director at HBO. Working on both the network and operator side of the business in several functional areas Ms. Shear is knows for leading the distribution and marketing efforts for start-up networks.


Red Steagall
Red is the Official Cowboy Poet of Texas, and is a world renowned Western Poet, songwriter and singer. Red also hosts a weekly radio program featuring Western music, poetry, storytelling and interviews that is heard on over 300 radio stations across the United States.


Marty Stuart
Marty is an international recording and performance artist, music historian and Ambassador of Music for the Country Music Foundation. As a child prodigy Marty toured with the Sullivans and later with Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash and he learned to have a solemn appreciation and respect for the traditional art of "roots music". His renowned collection of musical instruments and memorabilia has toured internationally.


David R. Van Valkenburg, Industry Advisor
Mr. Van Valkenburg, Chairman of Balfour Associates, Inc. has been an influential force on the direction and shape of the cable television industry worldwide for the past 31 years. Mr. Van Valkenburg has taken the lead position in 8 domestic Cable MSOs and has directed ventures overseas in cable, telephony and data operations for major media companies. During a period when Mr. Van Valkenburg worked for Media One International in London, UK, he served on the Board of Directors of Cable Communications Associates (UK). Currently Mr. Van Valkenburg sits as a member of the Board of Directors of The Cable Center in Colorado and is member of the Cable TV Pioneers.

Sharon Vaughn, Industry Advisor.
Ms. Vaughn is one of Nashville’s most talented songwriters. She has penned "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys" made mega hit by Willie Nelson and "Ya’all Come Back Saloon" which was a career making record for The Oak Ridge Boys. Ms. Vaughn co-writes with Paul Williams, Melissa Manchester as well as many top country stars such as Patty Loveless and Randy Travis. Ms. Vaughn is expanding her writing scope in an easterly direction and currently maintains a house in Ireland as a base for work in that part of the world
