WHO WE ARE  Robert St. John Roper, General CouncilRobert has been a practicing lawyer for more than 34 years. Although his practice has focused on representing small, entrepreneurial television producers and networks, his clients have included such recognizable names as Discovery, DISH, Starz-Encore Media, TCI, Liberty Media, The Learning Channel, The Outdoor Channel, Outdoor Life Network, Sundance Channel, Travel Channel and The Weather Channel. Robert has worked on cable television system transactions involving beginning-to-end negotiations, including purchase agreements, structuring financing, regulatory reviews and due diligence. He has also worked extensively in the area of program production and acquisition contracts, and domestic and international distribution agreements. Robert is the former Associate General Counsel to NCTA and is currently the counsel for The Cable Center. Robert has known and worked with Stan Hitchcock on a variety of projects for more than 10 years.
